Alicia Witt (Alicia Roanne Witt) born on August 21, 1975 in Worcester is a popular American television actor and singer. Alicia first appeared in television for the show, "That's incredible". David Lynch saw her on the television show and later casted her in his movie, "Dune" in 1984. Witt was eight when she acted in "Dune". Later she took break from acting to complete her studies. Alicia Witt was also practicing music in her school days.

At the age of 14, Alicia Witt worked as piano player in a hotel. She was also playing small roles in dramas and television films. Witt made her debut as lead female actor for first time in the movie "Fun". She played the role of a disturbed teenage girl in this movie. Her role was highly appreciated by critics and she also won the best actress title at the independent spirit awards.
